Francesco Paretti

Born in Terni, he graduated in industrial design at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome.

He has collaborated as a design and engineering consultant for various companies and designs products for various sectors:

indoor and outdoor furniture, bathroom products, household and tableware, lighting, consumer electronics, transport, clothing and accessories for sports, etc…

He deals with design from the concept to industrialization up to production, with proven expertise in marketing, raw materials and production technologies.

He has collaborated as a consultant for design and engineering and marketing for various companies including:

  • PIETRO BERETTA s.p.a., POLTRONOVA, RADIOMARELLI s.p.a. , ARCH.HI.TECH., SLAMP s.p.a. , MOAB80 spa

He has designed products for various companies in his name or by signing together with important designers and stylists, such as: Nigel Coates, Stefano Giovannoni, Anna Gili, Gay Mattiolo.

Since 2008 he has been collaborating with the Municipality of Deruta, for the redevelopment of the ceramic product: marketing strategies, study of materials, design of new products, organization and management of exhibitions including: "The scent of majolica" exhibited from 4 July to 30 September 2009 at the "regional ceramic museum of Deruta" and from 17 December to 22 February 2010 at the “Musèe international de la parfumerie” in the city of Grasse (France).

Win:

  • in 1997 and 1998 the goldsmith award "SAN VALENTINO ORO" ,
  • in 2003 the international design competition “APRILIADESIGNPRIZE2002″ THE SCOOTER OF THE FUTURE,
  • in 2005 special distinction award “INTERNATIONAL ART BIENNALE MALTA 2005” 

he has carried out teaching activities at:

  • POLYTECHNIC Milan (MASTER)
  • “G.B.CIGNAROLI” POLYTECHNIC OF THE ARTS of VERONA
  • IED ROME
  • DOMUS ACADEMY ROME

Since 2003 he has been teaching:

  • “Industrial Design Atelier 3” at the “LA SAPIENZA” University, Rome, “Ludovico Quaroni” Faculty of Architecture

His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions of art, ceramics and design.
